Board Subcommittees
The Sterling Board of Education participates in three (3) standing subcommittees as follows: Policy Committee, Programs and Budget Planning Committee, and the Personnel / Contract Negotiations Committee. Temporary committee and liaison assignments are not considered to be standing committees The Sterling Board of Education Chairman recommends standing subcommittee members, subject to full Board of Education action in a public meeting. Therefore, any member of the Board of Education who is interested in serving on a particular standing subcommittee notifies the Board Chairman in advance of the Board's Annual Organizational Meeting. Standing subcommittee chairmen and members on standing subcommittees serve for the same term as the Board Chairman. No board member may chair more than one standing subcommittee simultaneously.
