AbsencesTop of Page

All absences require a written note from parent / guardian on the day the child returns to school. Absences of 4 or more days in a row require a doctor’s note to return to school.

MedicationsTop of Page

No medications of any kind should be sent to school with a child.  In order for medications to be given at school a doctor’s authorization form must be on file with the nurse.  All medications must be in a pharmacy labeled container and delivered to school nurse by an adult.

IllnessesTop of Page

To help prevent the spread of illnesses please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours.
  • Temperature of 100 or higher
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Severe/ excessive cough
A child should be fever-free without the use of medication for 24 hours before returning to school. A child on an antibiotic should be at home for the first 24 hours after initial dose of medication is given to insure they are no longer contagious.

Children with active lice will be sent home immediately. All nits must be removed after receiving a treatment. Children must be checked by the school nurse before re-entry to classroom is allowed.
