Code of Conduct

The Sterling Community School administration, teachers, and staff  firmly believe that learning can best take place in an orderly environment and that students can best learn individual and collective responsibility and gain maturity if they are provided opportunities in which to exercise responsibility within the school setting. Therefore, the Sterling Community School Code of Conduct is intended to communicate expectations regarding acceptable conduct in our school in order to provide a positive learning environment for all students. Additionally, the Code of Conduct sets forth the specific procedures that will be followed and the resulting consequences for infractions when  a student chooses not to follow the guidelines for acceptable behavior in the school setting, while attending school events, or while riding on a school bus. Sterling parents are encouraged to review the Code of Conduct with their child(ren) and to support the school's efforts to provide a safe, positive, and productive educational environment for all students.
